Fueling Strength, Embracing Health

My journey into the world of nutrition began from a place of personal curiosity and a desire for clarity. As an athlete, I was interested in better understanding how to fuel my body for strength and performance. However, with the overwhelming amount of information available online, I found myself lost and confused, struggling to discern fact from fiction.

I was also grappling with conflicting messages about body image. On one hand, there was a pervasive focus on weight and the pursuit of thinness, which made me question whether I should strive for a smaller body or embrace the strength and vitality that my body was capable of achieving.

As I embarked on my professional journey, it quickly became evident that many shared my confusion and faced discouragement when they didn’t see the scale move. This frustration seemed to affect both their physical well-being and their mental health.

Through this experience, I discovered the Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating frameworks. These approaches shifted my perspective dramatically. Instead of fixating on weight, I realized that my clients needed more education and skills that support adequacy, balance, and variety in their diets—incorporating foods that provide not only nourishment but also joy and connection.

My goal is to empower you to make food-related decisions that honor both your physical needs and your mental and emotional well-being. Whether you’re seeking to overcome an eating disorder, navigate disordered eating, or simply find a healthier relationship with food, I’m here to support you on that journey.

Let’s work together to embrace a holistic approach to nutrition that prioritizes strength, balance, and overall well-being.
